During Soul Support a member of the Elevated Arts community will choose a topic, theme, quote, or focus that they will present and open the circle for everyone to share and connect with. We will conclude with a meditation, ceremony, activity, or exercise to connect deeper to the topic. Soul Support is NOT group therapy. We are not here to fix each other's problems, but rather to listen from the heart, hold space with love and build sincere community. Step into the vibrant world of Aztec tradition with Xochitl: Medicine of Flowers, a transformative workshop where we will explore the sacred connection between flowers and healing. In this class, you will learn the ancient history flor y cantos - the powerful practice of flower and song used in Aztec ceremonies - and discover how flowers were revered as medicine by the Aztec people. Through storytelling and guided teachings, we will uncover the healing properties of various flowers, understanding their roles in physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. You'll also have the opportunity to partake in authentic Aztec ceremonies, where you can connect with the energy of nature, invoke ancient blessings, and experience the transformative power of the flowers. We may not think of ourselves as an artist, but we are born creatives. The first creative inclination was our attraction to color and different shapes and scribbling became our first attempt to express our creativity. This workshop is a journey back to that time when we were open to experimenting and discovering. Using abstract scribbling and simple art materials, let us find what is hidden away within us in this journey of self-discovery.
