SUMMARY:Introduction to Intuitive Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:We may not think of ourselves as an artist\, but we are born creatives. The first creative inclination was our attraction to color and different shapes and scribbling became our first attempt to express our creativity. This workshop is a journey back to that time when we were open to experimenting and discovering. Using abstract scribbling and simple art materials\, let us find what is hidden away within us in this journey of self-discovery. Important note\, no previous art experience is needed for this workshop\, \nCost: $65 (includes all supplies needed) 6:30-8:30pm. \nCall us at 708-808-6333 to register! \nAbout the facilitator: Ed S. Brickler – Artist\, Art Educator\, Author\, and Art Materials Consultant \nEd is the author of a book: Making Art – Materials and Techniques for Today’s Artist\, published by North Light (F+W Media). I am currently semi-retired but still working as a Technical Consultant for Chartpak Inc.\, a family of art material companies. Ed is also a working artist and has been an art materials consultant teaching materials and techniques for over 35 years. Ed has lectured on drawing and painting materials and methods for art schools all over North America and in Europe and conducts workshops on color mixing\, pen & ink\, painting\, drawing\, paper evolution\, experimental art\, and composition. \nHe has published articles in The Artist’s Magazine\, Watercolor Magic\, Art Materials Today\, Island Arts Magazine\, was contributing editor for Palette Talk\, and has been acknowledged in more than a dozen art books for his contributions. His formal art education was received at Moravian College in Bethlehem\, PA\, and Baum School of Art in Allentown\, PA. \nOn the spiritual side\, all of life is a spiritual journey. At times there seems to be little progress but we are forever evolving and transforming. I am a Reiki Master\, a student of Shamanic Practices\, and trained Acupressure Practitioner. It is about the process of making art\, imagination\, materials\, experimentation\, and expression that evolve into the end result being art.
